This lovely color was a pain to apply.  It's a jelly formula that is very sheer.  It took 3 coats to get this look.

I am going to start doing a NOTD post.  Every time I change my polish, I hope to remember to take a picture and upload to my blog....we shall see how that goes.

I had a major disaster painting them today, when I tried to use tape to make a stripe, all the polish came off with the tape.  Not a happy camper was I!

Hard Candy in Pink Taffy

There are many brands of polish that I absolutely love, but I think Zoya is right at the very top.  I haven't had one miss from that brand so far.  The finish is fantastic, never streaky, and it last a lot longer on my nails, than most brands I have tried.


Here are a few photos of the lovely Zoya polishes.  All are taken with 2 coats.

Happy Anniversary.......

It's been one year this month since I quit biting my nails!  I can't believe I made it a year.
I still have problems when I don't have nail polish on,  I find myself wanting to bite them again....so I am going to use that as an excuse as to why I am so addicted to polish!

This is the first pic I took, wow how far they have come! :)

I was looking through older pictures of when my nails were first starting to grow...this is the first photo I took...I thought they were fantastic, at the time....now I just shake my head.  

So I went back to Walmart tonight and picked up 3 more of the new Hard Candy polishes.  One from each line.

I can't wait to try these all out!  

February Favorites....

Nail polishes I have loved in the month of February.  It is an ever changing list.

Shopping around on Etsy....

Shopping around on Etsy can get me in trouble..... 

Who knew people made nail polish!?!  Not me!  I found some amazing polishes that I really want to try out, however, I remembered spotting the new Hard Candy line at Walmart last week, and decided to check those out first.  At $4, if I liked them, I would go ahead and make an Etsy purchase.  

I bought 2 in the Candy Sprinkles line:  

Sweet Tooth and Pixie Pink

I have on Sweet Tooth today, and I must say I am very happy with it.  It does have a light, white base.  That was surprising considering I thought it would be clear.  The glitter is nicely distributed throughout the polish, and it takes no effort to get it all over your nails.  

I hate when you only get one pieces of glitter on your brush or it comes out in one huge clump!  I did layer if over Polar bare by Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure.

Polar Bare

Can't say the Polar Bare is the whitest polish I have ever seen, but it works great as a base color under something else.   

Sweet Tooth

I am very happy with this polish.  Makes me want to go and buy the other 6 colors in the line.  Or at the very least, the Pink Taffy and Gummie Green!

Back to Etsy I go.  There were some there along the same line as these that I may just have to order now! :)

Newspaper nails....

"Newspaper nails....what a fantastic idea."

That's what I thought when I first saw a picture of them on Pinterest.  I cut out the tiny pieces of newspaper, filled up a little bowl with alcohol, and set to making my nails into this awesome looking masterpiece.

It didn't exactly go as well as I was picturing in my head,  It was messy, wet, and overall, a big pain in the butt.  The final result was just ok, and I can tell you right now that I won't be trying these again anytime soon.  

If I want to achieve this look in the future...Sally Hansen has some great Nail Effects, that even though they aren't really that cheap, would be much less work and hassel!

A better choice for next time around.

Welcome to my Blog!!

If you love nail polish as much as I do, then you have come to the right place.  It may be a little slow going at first, at least until I figure this all out, but just hang in there with me, and I'll get it eventually!  I hope.

I want to share my nail polish experience.  The good, the bad, and the ugly.  

When you are in the store and the perfect color catches your eye, you never know when you bring it home, what the finish is going to be like.  It may be amazing, or it may just plain suck.  

We have all been there!  It happens.  Each brand has its own hits and misses.  So I am here to share with you, what to buy and what to leave at the store.  How it looks, what type of finish it has, and if it is one I would recommend or give a pass to.

I hope you come along with me on the journey to find great looking polish.
